Defining A Maturing Market: Pivot3 Named A Challenger In Gartner’s November 2019 Magic Quadrant For Hyperconverged Infrastructure

Pivot3 was again recognized as a Challenger in the November 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Hyperconverged Infrastructure, appearing in the Magic Quadrant for the third time in a row since Gartner released its HCI-only Magic Quadrant in 2018. We were positioned among 15 enterprise HCI vendors based on our completeness of vision and ability to execute.
As IT evolves to support increasingly data-intensive workloads such as video surveillance, artificial intelligence and analytics, we believe that Pivot3 is equipped to compete aggressively in a market serviced by some of the largest vendors in IT. We have an intelligent solution that is uniquely architected to support these challenging types of workloads. In fact, we’re the only HCI product in the market specifically designed to support the unique needs of video and streaming data, which constitute more than half of the data being created today.
We continue to move the needle in the Magic Quadrant for HCI, which speaks to our ability to consistently deliver security, resilience and manageability at scale for mission-critical environments. Some examples of this include:
- Our recent work with Lenovo to expand our joint go-to-market for mission-critical Smart City and Safe Campus environments with bundled appliances available to partners around the world through Lenovo’s OnDemand program. Lenovo and Pivot3 also announced Pivot3’s commitment to Lenovo’s new ThinkSystem SR655 single-socket server platform to jointly provide an edge computing video solution capable of supporting up to 33 percent more video cameras per node than similar solutions.
- Over the past year, we’ve deepened our relationships with key partners in the federal space – including SD3IT, Trace Systems and Red River – to support government and defense organizations’ mission control, VDI, video surveillance, and IoT initiatives.
- We continue to see increased demand from customers with large-scale mission-critical use cases, with organization such as Wayland Group deploying Pivot3 to ensure compliance with government regulations and support long-term expansion plans.
2020 will be an exciting year for Pivot3 as we reach the next stage of maturity and growth. The rise of video and streaming data continues to introduce unprecedented challenges for IT, and we remain committed to helping our customers manage this complexity at scale through intelligence and automation.
